The Shanghai pianist Yi Lin Jiang was born in Munich and received his first piano lessons at the age of six with Barbara Strauß. One year later, he already won his first piano competition. He made his orchestra debut at the age of ten and was rewarded the Youth Culture Prize of Kaufbeuren as the youngest musician. From 2005-2012, he studied with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling in Salzburg and Hannover, since then with Ewa Kupiec, currently in the solo performance class. The Young Steinway Artist won several competitions and performs in renowned venues including Berlin Konzerthaus, Munich Gasteig and Hamburg Laeiszhalle. Since 2015, he is the artistic director of the Munich Pianistenclub. His debut album "Masques" received critical acclaim, international radio airplay and was rewarded with a nomination for the prestigious German Record Critics' Award. - www.jiangyilin.com
