Biography

Xixi Zhou, currently resident in Boston, has held recitals in world class musical venues such as Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Jordan Hall in Boston, Seymour Centre in Sydney, Shanghai Concert Hall and Xinhai Concert Hall in Guangzhou. He has performed with numerous orchestras, such Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, Shreveport Symphony and NEC Philharmonia.
Coming to United States and studying at New England Conservatory under Hung-Kuan Chen’s supervision after graduated from Shanghai Conservatory, Zhou is regarded as an outstanding pianist with great potential by many great musicians such as Alfred Brendel, Anton Kuerti and Leon Fleisher. As the winner of New England Conservatory Concerto competition, he performed in Jordan Hall with NEC Philharmonia and Yan Pascal Tortelier. His other awards include the prize winner of Widerman International Piano Competition; Finalist in Iowa International piano competition; 3rd prize in Shanghai Conservatory and Excellent Performan of China “Golden Bell” Music Award.
