Biography

Sydney born pianist Tony Lee is a soloist in residence at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium and has been working with Maria-João Pires since 2014. He has appeared as soloist with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Samara Philharmonic Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly across Europe and Asia.

Tony is the top prizewinner of national and international piano competitions including the Lev Vlassenko Competition, Louise Henriette International Piano Competition, Scriabin International Competition (Paris) and the Adilia Alieva International Competition among others.

Professional training began at the Australian Institute of Music and the National Academy of Music before furthering studies at the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory. He completed his BMus in Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium and is currently completing a Master's Degree at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Norway under Professor Michael Endres.
