BiographySung-Jae Kim, born in 1990 in Gwang-Ju/South Korea, received his first piano lessons at the age of 6. Since 2005 he has been studying at the Frankfurt Musikhochschule, in the class of Prof. Catherine Vickers. Currently he studying parallel with Prof. Leonid Margarius at the Imola Piano Academy ''Incontri col Maestro''.
He is a laureate of the Manchester International Piano Concerto Competition in Manchester/England, the International Montrond les Bains Piano Competition in Montrond les Bains/France and the ''Foerderpreis'' funded by Steinway.
In 2010, he received Diploma at the 16. International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw/Poland.
He has given concerts in Germany,England,Swiss,Spain and in Korea.
He has performed as a soloist and recorded the Liszt Piano Concerto No.1 with Hochschulorchester Frankfurt under Wojciech Rajski and Rachmaninov Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Hessish Youth Symphony Ochestra under Dominik Beykirch.
