Biography

Sebastian Berakdar is regularly performing around Germany and Europe as well as on important festivals such as ‘Moselmusikfestival’, ‘Köthener Bachfesttage’. Among many other halls, he also played in ‘Grazer Musikverein’, in ‘Salle de la Sorbonne’ in Paris.
His playing was broadcasted many times on major German and Austrian radio and television companies.
Sebastian is prizewinner of numerous German-national as well as international piano competitions.
In 2010 he received the ‘Chopin-Prize’ of the Chopin Society Leipzig. In 2012 was awarded a scholarship of ‘Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben’ owed to outstanding achievements and performances. In 2014 he was awarded the 8000€ Juetting Foundation Schoparship.
Beside his studies he also worked with renowned artists such as Lee Kum Sing, Berd Goetzke and Matti Raekallio.
Sebastian Berakdar was born in Freiburg (Breisgau). Since 2011 he studies at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover with the Polish pianist Prof. Ewa Kupiec.
