Roope Gröndahl is one of the most interesting young pianists to have emerged from Finland in recent years. As a laureate at the 2013 Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in Brussels, he performed with Marin Alsop and the National Orchestra of Belgium. He has also appeared as soloist with all the major Finnish orchestras, collaborating with esteemed conductors.

An active chamber musician, Gröndahl has performed with artists such as Ilya Gringolts and Steven Isserlis at the Helsinki Festival and Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival. He has performed in the UK, Central Europe, China, and the United States. In Australia, he did a substantial chamber music tour celebrating Sibelius 150th anniversary in March 2015.

Born in 1989, Gröndahl completed his studies in 2014 at the Royal Academy of Music in London as a student of Prof. Christopher Elton. Previously, he studied with Matti Raekallio and Liisa Pohjola at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
