Biography

Poom Prommachart born in Bangkok and later moved to continue his study at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore in 2006 and was granted a full scholarship by H.R.H. Princess Galyani Vadhana and then to the Royal College of Music (RCM), London in 2007 where he graduated, the Master of Performance (Distinction) in 2013 and the Artist Diploma in Performance under the Russian pianist, Dina Parakhina. In 2014, he was awarded the most prestigious Tagore Gold Medal which was presented to him by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales in London.

Poom’s performing career was launched when he won First Prize in the Fifth Isidor Bajic International Piano Competition, First Prize at Thailand International Piano Competition, First Prize at Sussex International Piano Competition and Second Prize at Chopin Internatinal Piano Competition in Budapest.
He released a debut solo CD for Champs Hill Records in the U.K.
