Nora Bartosik was born in Rome, Italy, and began playing the piano at the age of three with her mother, Keiko Kumashiro Bartosik. She holds a Bachelor’s degree cum Laude in Music and German Literature from Harvard University, a Master’s degree from the Mozarteum University and the Konzertexamen from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig. She was the recipient of a German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Fellowship as well as scholarships from Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now. She has performed extensively as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in Europe and the United States, and has participated in renowned international festivals including the Aspen Music Festival. Her primary teachers have included Jacques Rouvier, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Gerald Fauth, Robert Levin, Patricia Zander and Jan Jiracek von Arnim. Ms. Bartosik is currently a postgraduate at the Mozarteum University in the studio of Jacques Rouvier.
