Praised by The Cincinnati Enquirer as “combined bravura and artistry” for his
performance with Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, and by Frequent Business
Traveler as “majestic and lyric” for his recital at Carnegie Hall, Moye Chen has
performed extensively as a concert pianist in United States, Europe, and Asia.

Mr. Chen is the Gold Medalist of the 58th Cincinnati World Piano Competition, as well
as the winner of the Las Rozas “Spanish Composers”, Iowa, Seattle, Dallas, and Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition. He has made the well-reviewed performances in the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition.

A native of Beijing, Mr. Chen earned his Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Shanghai
Conservatory of Music and Artist Diploma from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. His principal teachers include Hung-Kuan Chen, Angela Cheng, Robert Hamilton, and William Heiles.

Mr. Chen is currently a candidate for his DMA degree from the University of Illinois.
