Born in 1993, Kenny Broberg has studied piano since age six. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kenny studied for nine years with Joseph Zins. Currently, he studies at the University of Houston Moores School of Music with Nancy Weems. He has also taken lessons with Abbey Simon and Stanislav Ioudenitch, among others. Orchestral appearances include Minnesota Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, the Moores School Symphony Orchestra, the New Orleans Civic Symphony, and others. Conductors he has worked with include Carlos Miguel Prieto, Ludovic Morlot, and Franz Anton Krager. Awards include Second Prize and Audience Favorite at Seattle Symphony International Piano Competition, Bronze Medal at 2014 New Orleans International Piano Competition, Silver and Bronze Medals at Wideman International Piano Competition, and Gold Medal at Mika Hasler Young Artist Competition. He has given masterclasses in the U.S. and South America. Performances have been aired on the radio on NPR and KUHF 91.7 Houston.
