Biography

Pianist Justin Jaeyoung Kim is a prize winner in numerous national competitions in South Korea such as Sungjung Music competition. He has participated in the Juilliard summer music festival, Mänttä international piano masterclasses, and The International Holland Music sessions studying with Prof. Matti Raekallio. He has been appeared at concert venues in South Korea, USA, Canada, Finland and the Netherlands, and also featured in master classes with Matti Raekallio, Robert McDonald, Martin Canin, Jacques Rouvier, Solomon Mikowsky, Alexander Kobrin and Edward Auer.

Jaeyoung Kim had been selected to perform at “outstanding Students Concerts” in Eum-Youn music festival and Mänttä international piano master classes. He graduated Sunwha arts high school, and completed his bachelor’s degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music studying with Prof. Angela Cheng. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he had studied with Prof. Matti Raekallio for about two years. Currently he is working with Prof. Jeffrey Swann since 2015.
