Biography

Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula (1991) is a Swiss pianist and composer. As a soloist he has played in venues and festivals including the Tonhalle (Zurich), the Palau de la Musica (Barcelona), the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican Hall (London), Ittinger Pfingstkonzerte, Lucerne Festival, Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music.. He is the recipient of several prizes for piano and composition, notably the First Prize at the Concours d'Interprétation Musicale de Lausanne, and First Prize at the Edvard Grieg International Composer Competition. He is recipient of the 2014-15 Rebanks Family Fellowship at the Glenn Gould School in Toronto, and has been invited by András Schiff to give solo recitals in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Brussels, Zurich, New York and Berlin as part of his Building Bridges concert series. Having been awarded the prestigious Guildhall Wigmore Recital Prize, he gave a recital at the Wigmore Hall in London on 29th of June 2015.
