BiographyAt the age of eight Ilya Rashkovskiy made his debut with the Irkutsk Chamber Orchestra. From 1993 to 2000 he studied in Novosibirsk with M. Lebenzon. From 2000 to 2009 he studied at the Musikhochschule Hannover with V. Krainev and at the École Normale Supérieure Cortot in Paris with M. Rybicki.
Ilya is the 1st prize winner of the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (2012), the International Jaen and Hong Kong Competitions (2005), and among top prizewinners of the Long-Thibaud Competition (2nd Prize), Queen Elisabeth(4th Prize), Artur Rubinstein (3rd Prize) and G.Enescu Competition (2nd Prize).
He has performed in prestigious concert venues throughout the world such as La Roque d’Anthéron in France and Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and has collaborated with many important symphony orchestras.
He recorded CDs on labels including Naxos and Victor Japan. His latest recording of Complete Scriabin Sonatas will be released in March 2016 (NAR Japan).
