Igor Andreev was born in 1988 in Kaliningrad, Russia. Started to play at 5, in 2000 he entered the Special Musical School in St.Petersburg, class Prof. Vladimir Suslov. Followed by the graduation from the school and Conservatory with honors, in 2011 he won the Swiss Government Scholarship and entered the Bern University of Arts, class Prof. Tomasz Herbut.

Igor is a prize winner of the international piano competitions in Tallinn (1998) and Usti-nad-Labem (1998), Liszt in Weimar (2005), Palma de Mallorca (2009), “3rd Classics in the Streets” in Bad Ragaz (2012), Lyon (2014), “69. Concours de Genève“ (2014) and Hamamatsu (2015). He was a grant-aided student of the “Russian performing art” foundation (2005-2006), the Swiss Government Scholarship holder (2011-2013), supported by Hirschmann foundation (2013) and “Fondation Clavarte” (2015). Igor Andreev was awarded a Promotional prize of the Kiefer-Hablitzel-Stiftung (2013). In May 2015 he won Rotary Excellence Prize in Lugano.
