Biography

Pianist Hans H. Suh has performed as a soloist in many of world’s distinguished venues, such as Avery Fisher Hall and Alice Tully Hall at the Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Center, Hitachi Systems Hall Sendai, and the Concert Hall of Seoul Arts Center.

In June 2013, Hans won the silver-medal at the Sendai International Music Competition, and earlier in September 2011 Hans placed 3rd at the Florida International Piano Competition.

He had performed with world’s prominent orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, and Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden (Conductors: Kurt Masur, Vladimir Feltsman, Michael Adelson, Myung-Whun Chung, and Pascal Verrot).

Hans attended Columbia University studying ancient history as a John Jay Scholar, while studying piano with Profs. Matti Raekallio and Emanuel Ax. Hans is currently enrolled for master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater, und Medien Hannover.
