The pianist Gehui Xu was born in Qingdao, China. She began her early music tuition at age 5. Currently she is studying master degree in the University of Music, Drama and Medien in Hannover with Professor Arie Vardi. She has performed in concert halls throughout China, Germany, Italy, San Marino, Poland, Holland , Canada, USA, Japan , Korea, Russia...

Ms. Xu has won numerous awards in national and international piano competitions. Among them the 1st prize in the Beijing International Piano Competition 2008; the Best Classical Sonata Prize Winner in Unisa International Piano Competition 2012; the Third Prize and the best Performance of commissioned work in the Third Helsinki International Majlind Piano Competition; the Finalist Prize in San Marino International Piano Competition 2014.

During her studying, she was awarded a scholarship of Yamaha Asia Foundation and the scholarship of China Scholarship Council for her great and very precious music talent.
