Biography

Praised by the El Pais for his playing “his emotional quality gushes up with the stimulus of an extraordinary sensitivity” and applauded by the El Mundo “He demonstrated variety, color, comprehensiveness, fantasy and freedom of approach”, South-Korean pianist David Jae-Weon Huh is recognized as one of today’s foremost young pianist. In 2015, he captured the silver medal at Paloma O’Shea Santander international piano competition and he has also been a prize winner and finalist at Shanghai (1st prize), Hamamatsu, Cleveland, and Busoni international piano competition.

Mr. Huh made solo appearances extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the United States at internationally notable halls including Royal Concertgebouw, Salle Cortot, and Jordan Hall, and also performed as a soloist with major orchestras including Tokyo, RadioTelevisión Española symphony, Shanghai, and prime philharmonic orchestra.

Graduating from Korea National University of Arts and New England Conservatory of Music, he is currently studying at Musik Hochschule Hannover.
