Biography

His playing praised as "ravishing" by the Boston Musical Intelligencer, Daniel Parker graduates from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in June, 2016, with a Bachelor of Science in Music. Since abandoning his studies in political science and classical voice to focus on piano, he was awarded the prestigious Emerson Fellowship by the MIT Music Department to support his artistic development. In the summer of 2015, he studied at the Aspen Music Festival and School, won Third Prize in the 2015 Thousand Islands International Piano Competition, and was named one of fifteen “Incredibly Impressive” students at MIT by Business Insider. Also deeply interested in the theory and history of classical music, and an accomplished writer, Parker is passionate about the keyboard works of Bach.
