BiographyBorn in La Crescenta, California to musical parents, Connie Kim-Sheng began piano lessons at the early age of three years old. She performed her debut solo recital at the age of 13 and her concerto performance debut at the age of 15.
Her awards include top prizes in the Los Angeles Liszt International Competition, the Bronslaw Kaper Awards held by the LA Philharmonic, Virginia Waring International Competition, Knigge Music Competition, and the New Orleans International Piano Competition, as well as finalist and special prizewinner at the Eastman Young Artists International Competition.
At eleven years old, Kim-Sheng began studying privately with John Perry, continuing under his tutelage with full scholarship at The Glenn Gould School in Toronto, Canada where she received her Bachelor's Degree. She is currently based in Boston after completing a Master’s degree at The New England Conservatory of Music with Meng-Chieh Liu and Hung Kuan Chen.
