BiographyA native of Sichuan, China, Beiyao Ji has performed in Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, America and many Chinese cities such as Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Chengdu and others. He also has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the Colburn Orchestra, conducted under Miguel Harth- Bedoya and Yehuda Gilad; the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra, the Torrance Symphony Orchestra and so on.
He has won several competition prizes, including the Third prize of the Twelfth HongKong – Asia (2002) Open Piano Competition, as well as the first prizes of the Torrance Symphony Orchestra and the Brentwood-Westwood Symphony Orchestra concerto competitions (2011).
He is active in summer music festivals. He has also appeared in the masterclasses of Menahem Pressler, Byron Janis, Christoph Eschenbach and Aldo Ciccolini to name a few.
Beiyao Ji is currently studying with Antonio Pompa-Baldi and pursuing his Artist Diploma at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
