BiographyAKIHIRO SAKIYA had studied with J. Watanabe, T. Torii, C. Soares and M. Araki in Japan. Then, he’d studied in CNSM de Paris with Jacques Rouvier until his graduation first on the list. Now he’s studying at the Graduation School of Tokyo University of the Arts in Doctor’s course with Akiyoshi Sako.
He won many international competitions; 2nd Prize in A.M.A. Calabria (no 1st Prize), 1st Prize in Lyon, 3rd Prize in 59th F. Busoni, Laureate in 18th Santander Paloma O’Shea, and the 1st prize in 56th “Jaén Prize” with Spanish Music Prize and Audience Prize.
He’s performed around the world, in Japan, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, USA and Brazil, not only solo-recitals but with orchestra; Tokyo Symphony, Japan Symphony, Haydn Orchestra, RTVE orchestra etc.
Also broadcasted on NHK, ABC Radio in Australia, RTVE etc. He’s been recording “Beethoven Complete Sonatas” since 2013, and also Naxos published his CD.
