Biography

Melbourne-born Aaron Liu completed his Bachelor of Music in Advanced Performance (Honours) at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2013 with Oleg Stepanov. During his undergraduate degree, he was awarded prizes each year for achieving the highest mark in performance. He is currently completing a Master of Music in Performance also at the Queensland Conservatorium where he received a Postgraduate Award.
Winner of the 2014 Australian Youth Classical Music Competition, Aaron was also awarded first place in both the 2015 Australian Society of Keyboard Music National Open Piano Competition and the 2015 MRC Great Romantics National Competition. He was also a finalist in the 2015 ABC Young Performers Awards.
Aaron has also participated in the 2009 Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (Japan) and the 2012 Sydney International Piano Competition.
