Tony Lee began his professional training at the Australian Institute of Music with Professor Victor Makarov and at the Australian Academy of Music with Rita Reichman and Timothy Young before furthering studies at the Central Music School of the Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory under Professor Anatoly Ryabov. He completed his Bachelor of Music in Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Dr Paul Rickard-Ford and is currently completing his Master of Music in Performance at the Barratt Due Institute of Music with Professor Michael Endres in Oslo, Norway.

He has been a soloist in residence at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium under the direction of Maria-João Pires since 2014. He has appeared as soloist with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Samara Philharmonic Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly across Europe, China, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
